Specifically, those wonderfully dazzling, sleek exteriors on cars, yachts and aircraft. And equally, the exteriors of buildings and bridges and, well, the surfaces on all man made structures in fact.
We love the beauty of perfectly honed automotive bodywork and the elegant, timeless lines of a racing yacht. We love the engineered architecture of bridges and skyscrapers.
But what gets us really excited is the stuff most of us forget about. It's the many extra benefits we all take for granted. From efficient aerodynamics to basic protection from the rain, wind, cold and heat.
But whilst exterior surfaces are busy looking after us, is anyone looking after them?
Is anyone thinking how to make exteriors look better, last longer, yet require less effort to maintain? About lowering their impact on the environment, on our time and resources? And shouldn't everyday surfaces be doing even more for us anyway?
At G|techniq, this is what we do
It's what we spend our days thinking about. And every minute working on.
How can we create better surfaces? How can new surface materials work better? And how can we improve the far greater number of surfaces already in use and already in place around the globe?
Our goal is ambitious, but quite simple. Engineer the world’s most beautiful, perfectly finished, smartest and most intelligent surfaces. Surfaces that do much more than just look great when new.
But how do we do that?
We call it G|techniq 3S. It's the application of pioneering Smart Surface Science, enabling us to create the world's best surface care products.
Products based on real science, innovative materials and total ease of use. Products that deliver maximum long term visual impact. Products that protect not only against the elements, but against the ravages of time and impact of the daily grind.
The thinking behind 3S
For example, we designed our revolutionary non-destructive polish to deliver a truly flawless mirror finish on delicate auto and yacht paints.
Our inspiration was the technology behind the fabrication of huge yet flawless parabolic mirrors, without which the world's largest astronomical telescopes could not produce sharp images from deep space.
And our nano-engineered deep gloss surface coatings look great for the long term yet require only minimal cleaning and upkeep.
Our inspiration for these and other 3S surface coatings is the intelligent design found in nature's own humble lotus leaf.
But great lab science is not enough
All G|techniq products are driven by Smart Surface Science. 3S is built right in at the core. But that's actually not enough.

With backgrounds in the physical sciences and decades in the performance coatings industry, we know just how often great performance in ideal lab conditions translates to simply poor or mediocre performance in the real world.
For that reason we test all 3S products extensively, both in the lab and across the globe. In all weathers and in extreme climates. We test ourselves, and we ask our global partners, resellers and independent labs to do the same.
Lab tests include the paint and coatings industry standard simulated UV and weather exposure in QUV chambers.
But in our opinion these are about as far from real world conditions as it's possible to get, where extreme temperatures, humidity and pollution combined with local habits are as much a factor in how surfaces endure over time as simple UV exposure.
So we go much further, with real world testing in both accelerated and real time, often in extreme climates and conditions, such as those found deep in the Arizona desert or on a downtown roof top in highly polluted and humid Hong Kong.
Oh, and whilst we're testing our formulations, we take the opportunity to test the best of our competitors' products alongside too.
No "me too" products here
Our products not only have to survive these tests. They actually have to demonstrate a distinct performance edge over the competition. Otherwise they simply don't make it into a G|techniq 3S bottle. This is the reason you won't find any “me too” products here.
