What's special about Gtechniq's pSystem Clay Bar?
This is a 200 gram bar (many bars are less than half this size) with a very strong bite but producing little or no marring.  This product has been blind tested against 10 leading competitors and 75% of testers put this as their number one with the rest putting it in their top three.

Do I need this product?
If after washing you run your fingertips over your car's paintwork and it feels rough then you have contaminants adhering to the surface (eg overspray from a clumsy paint shop, tree sap or tar) or physically lodged into the surface (one of the big causes is brake dust from trains landing on cars parked in station car parks).  If left the latter can actually cause permanent damage by migrating towards your vehicle's substrate and causing oxidation.

If you are intending to polish your car and you feel your car's surface is rough it is essential you clay the surface first as otherwise you will introduce these contaminants into the polish and they will damage your car's delicate paint finish.

How do I use this product?
This is a relatively easy product to use and very satisfying too!!  You will need a spray bottle with some water to act as lubricant (you can add a little bit of car shampoo to the water for extra lubrication).  Spray the suface liberally and then lightly run the clay over the surface.  Once you feel the surface is smooth move onto another section.  Inspect the surface of the clay regularly and fold it into itself once dirty.  Do not reuse dirty clay as you can risk scratching your car's surface with the contaminants it has already picked off the surface.
